What is the next item we are waiting for, it has to be "wait for the economy to get a little better before the congress will do something".
This chakraview never ends. Please god (or IV) help us ......
When you want someone (that could be anyone) to do something, it is better to ask politely rather than using accusatory language and kill the debate even before it starts. :D
This is just a suggestion. You are a free man living in a free world (and include the text of First Amendment here), so you are free to do or say whatever you want. Although, there are many means to express frustration, including accusatory language.
Why do think that someone here has a power to do something but is deliberately not doing it? You seem to think that others on the forum are giving you "excuses"? That's funny. Often on these forums I have seen folks with the loudest (and mostly disrespectful or distasteful) expression try to drive, causing an accident right in the start.
It takes more than accusatory language to motivate others to do something constructive.

Most of the Eb3's are either working for big companies who won't do GC in EB2 or not qualified for eb2 ( so called 3 year degree ) and enjoying all these years when they know clearly eb3 is not going any where ...what in the world prevent them to move up the ladder and porting their PDs ...They dont want to take any risk and just show their frustation in internet forums
As some one in the forum quoted "There is a path of joy and there is the path of pleasure. Pondering on them, the wise (eb1 ,pre-approved labor and eb2 inorder ) chooses the path of joy; the fool takes the path of pleasure."
So dear Mr. pathfinder, could u suggest me a BETTER" path if I have 3 years of bachelors from India with 8 years of IT experience when I landed in USA in 2003. I applied my labor in 6/2006 and my I-140 got rejected when I applied under EB2 category coz My (B Com) was 3 years of degree and not 4 years. So, dont generalize the problem just because you are not facing it.
Peace.

Definitely much better than a computer operators'. I have high regards for people who work at reputed companies such as MS, ORCL, Apple though. By computer operator i mean people who try to speak english but sound as if they are speaking telugu.
How about Egyptian accent? How about Russian, Chinese, Mexican, etc?
Have your REALLY been in USA? How long? Came yesterday????

My attorney didnt ask for DL copies, but did require color copies of passport.
Guess, its different with each lawyer based on their experience.

I stayed till 6:30 p.m. and got an opportunity to briefly talk about Immigration Voice and commended his initiative on solving this issue.
Here is my take:
- Lot of IV members showed up, around 50. Please correct me if I get that right.
- Per my understanding Gutierrez came to CA, even though he is from Illinois to seek and reinforce support from California representatives, since CA is the swing state as far as immigration is concerned. Legal as well as undocumented.
- A lot of Latino origin people showed up. Well, no surprises there. Most of STRIVE does deal with undocumented immigration. Infact, it might be better that way. We keep low public profile but hard and strong lobbying.
- I asked Rep. Gutierrez if STRIVE bill had enough Republican support to pass the House. He mentioned that he is working to do that.He wants us to contact Republicans reps., not just the Democrats.
- It was good learning experience. I wasn't expecting a structured Q&A session. A suggestion: It would be great if we can trash out a strategy among ourselves and designate a spokesperson.
- I gave a brief interview video interview to the office of a State Senator from Sacramento. I mentioned about IV and our goals.
- It did looked like a Spanish affair but it is our preogative to speak up.

I am flying in from California on Sunday (april 3rd morning) and will be flying back on tuesday evening (flight departs 5 Pm - could not get red-eye) from DCA (Reagan DC Natl Airport).
Was planning to rent a car anyway for Sunday (to attend orientation and other personal errands). Holding off on renting car for Mon/Tue depending on car pool and other commute options. Will be staying with a host from this forum.
Look forward to syncing up with other folks in the same boat.

Updated my profile.
At this time, IV is analyzing the impact of the speculation around the July visa bulletin closure, and is reaching out to attorneys, including AILA and planning next steps. tomorrow being a working day will also help us get more information and opportunity to reach appropriate levels of government . We will share more information with you as soon as there are developments. In the meanwhile, you should go about business as usual, and file your 485/140 applications as planned.
IMPORTANT: At this time, you are encouraged to update your user profiles on IV with the most current information and the best way to reach you. If we have an urgent action item, we may also send newsletters to all members.

Hi
I do not know your particular situation, but I know something about MBA programs. There are some things that you need to keep in mind. An MBA degree is not a silver bullet. It comes with a huge opportunity cost. But, let us assume that you have done your research and have arrived at the conclusion that an MBA education is the best option to further your career.
1. A lot of value from the MBA degree comes from networking and group-work. I do not know how the online programs handle this. But at my company, we would not consider someone with an online degree for most MBA-level openings.
2.There are excellent part-time options available.
3. If cost is a major issue, you can evaluate the local state universities in your area.
I wish you the best of luck. Feel free to reach out to me via PM if you want more advice.
BR
thepaew, right, I understand IB needs from top-10..it was more of "I wish I had" stuff..I am not serious on that.
Coming to why "online" ? Because I cant go fulltime on college (I have to quit my job...means no salary for 2 years...not possible..I am not that filthy rich :D)
moreover there is increased trend in acceptance of online MBA as major universities are coming online now.

thanks UN for the reply..
what can I say..!! lost sleep for many days, but now there is nothing I can do and just hoping all will be positive...
now with a labor filed in 2003,485 in 2007 and the PDs rolled back to 2000 god knows when our GC misery ends..The GC sponsoring employer will help with all the letters we need...if our dates become current in another 2 yrs..so 2009 - 2003 i.e 6yrs gap between the labor and GC adjuctication, will this raise an eyebrow of the IO officer...? the GC sponsoring employer is a 80 million $ construction company..
also another question..I see conflicting opinions about letting USCIS know bout the change in job and using AC21...some say wait till RFE and some say send a letter upfront..what is the best option..? also if we use AC21 do we still need to show that we have intentions to join the original GC sponsored employer A or the latest GC sponsor becomes the AC21-ed company..
jeez ..so stressed out of this GC mess..
pls let us know..

A couple of documents about the
Immigrant Visa Allocation Management System (IVAMS)
This is the system that performs the analysis for the Visa demands/allocations etc...
http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/109134.pdf
http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/87963.pdf
Just on a side note, maybe to address the quarterly-spillover issue, this system needs to be updated/changed and since it will be "a decade long task" for the DOS to do it, we might not see the spillover for a while.....
Hope thats not the case though..

I have contributed to IV in faxes, phone calls and sending numerous letters. You can always check my history before analyzing from a blind eye. I have been here for a while, I have even spoken to a few IV core members.
Need my trust and money, please earn it.
so u'r sachbole - employee of that tracker site..... wonder y u hate iv......
u did not contribute to iv by sending faxes & making those phone calls.... u did that for u'rself...... u'r not doing me or anyone else a favor by sending faxes or making phone calls.....
no one needs u'r trust becoz u'r a paid employee of a business that is against each one of us getting green card...... if everyone will get gc then who will track their application.... meaning no ad revenue for u..... isn't that right? sachbole?

Wondering who was doing GC during Nov 2001 time frame? Why the dates have not moved to 2003 when economy started showing signs of recovery? Do we have folks with PD for the last quarter of 2001.
One more point...
People looking for GC sponsoring employer may want to talk to these evergreen companies...;)

Damn, I miss India now.
We went to Marriage of my classmate which was in Srinagar J&K. Police caught us in on the road and we did not have any kind of identification. We started to talk in Kannada with ourselves. This guy let us go by seeing us talking some south Indian language. It happens everywhere. If you are going within 100 mile range from the border it is better to carry the documents. If you are flaying you got carry. I stayed in Buffalo NY for a quite long time I never carried a passport for Niagara falls or to any other places.
